Macau’s Taipa ferry terminal now operating

The new Taipa Ferry Terminal opened on 1 June 2017 with eight initial passenger vessel berths. As one of the main seaports serving Macau, the Taipa Ferry Terminal is an important border for entering Macau with over 120 million passengers having used the Temporary Ferry Terminal in the past five years. Equipped with state-of-the-art hardware, the new terminal will be able to enhance connections between Macau, Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta area. With 127 immigration channels, it will be capable to meet the increase in demand for sea transportation in tandem with the development of the Cotai area, where most of the integrated resorts are located, while alleviating pressure on the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal on the Macau Peninsula.
