A former family home nearby the Siem Reap River rebuilt into a 27-room contemporary hotel, Riversoul Residence is homage to childhood memories and what it means to grow up in one of Cambodia’s historic waterways.
Original works of art by local and Siem Reap-based artists made from old repurposed parts of the family’s old house and possessions dot the rooms and the hotel grounds, providing a glimpse of the ebbs and flows of their personal history as well as of the city in itself through a contemporary art museum setting, yet capturing the essence of their home.
Tucked in Street 21 of Wat Bo Village and just a stone’s throw away from the river bank and East River Road, the hotel is in an up-and-coming neighbourhood of Central Siem Reap.
Within walking distance from the hotel are key sights within the city like the 18th century Wat Bo Pagoda, the Royal Residence and Gardens, the Old French Quarter and the Central Market. Artisan studios and quaint little cafes also abound in the area while the Old Market and Pub Street are just a little further south of the vicinity.
