EQ is the latest milestone in the saga of one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic hospitality names. The original Hotel Equatorial opened in 1973, and quickly gained an international reputation as a premier five-star destination. Hotel Equatorial closed its doors in 2012 to make way for a bigger, better, all-new successor. Six years later, a magnificent new 52-storey tower has taken its place, and with it a new name, reflecting a new era in sophisticated urban accommodation. Situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s famed Golden Triangle, EQ is the centrepiece of the new Equatorial Plaza, downtown’s prestigious new business address.

EQ’s 440 Guestrooms and Suites are all luxuriously appointed and feature impressive city views from every vantage point.
