Emirates announced that it will commence a direct flight service between Yangon and Phnom Penh as of 1 July allowing Emirates passengers travelling to Hanoi to no longer stop in Yangon before reaching the Vietnam. The new Dubai-Yangon-Phnom Penh route will also enable passengers from Yangon to travel to Phnom Penh and vice versa. All services between Dubai and Phnom Penh will offer two classes of travel, Business and Economy, with generous free baggage allowances (up to 35kg in Economy Class and 40kg in Business Class). Emirates will be the only airline with a direct service between these two cities. Flight EK388 will depart Dubai at 9:15 hrs and arrive in Yangon at 17:25. It will then depart Yangon at 18:55 and arrive in Phnom Penh at 21:25. On the return segment, flight EK389 will depart Phnom Penh at 23:10 and arrive in Dubai at 5:40 the next day after a short stop in Yangon.
