Danang International Paramotor Competition 2012 

The Danang International Paramotor Competition 2012 themed “Danang – Love Take-off” will be held for the first time in Vietnam at Bien Dong Park, Son Tra District, Danang City in 5 days from 23 to 27 May 2012. Eight international teams from Japan, Republic of Korea, China, Spain, Germany, UK, France and the USA with about 50 participants are expected to participate. The main events of the competition are flights of speed, grade, formation and rescue. The planned route is over Bien Dong Park to Sandy Beach at a distance of 5 Km a circle. The flight ceiling will be 50 – 70 m

Sung Sot Cave in Halong Bay listed as one of the 10 most beautiful caves in the World

Czech Republic’s Association of Tourism Offices and Brokers has chosen the Sung Sot Cave in Halong Bay as one of the World’s ten most beautiful caves. The Cave, first discovered by the French in 1901, was highly appreciated for its spectacularly spacious chambers dubbed as the opera house in Halong Bay and dotted with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites that surprise visitors from the first sight.

The top 10 most beautiful caves listed by the Czech Republic’s Association of Tourism Offices and Brokers includes such world famous caves as the Skocjan Caves in Slovenia, the Ice Caves of Patagonia in Argentina, the Lehman Caves in Nevada, USA and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves in New Zealand.

Hoi An has become pioneer in Asia to provide free WIFI citywide.

Starting from the 1st of January 2012 Hoi An put into operation the system infrastructure that provides free WIFI through 350 access points in the city centre with 02 hubs each covering a radius of 300 m. 08 access points will be set up on Cham Islands. Tourists to Hoi An now can have free access to the Internet at any corner of the ancient town.

New evening show in Ho Chi Minh City

A new evening show called “Ngoc Viet Show” has just been introduced to the local audience as well as international tourists to Ho Chi Minh City. In the time frame of 60 minutes, the art forms considered the genuine “jewels” of the Vietnamese are featured. Guests will be indulged in the melodies of the unique musical instruments like bamboo xylophone, monochord zither, stone xylophone and other bamboo instruments. The Vietnamese traditional art forms recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage like Hue Royal Court music and Dance and Ca Tru are also introduced. The show is performed daily at 20:35 hrs. at Non La Theater, 55B Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
