Cookin' Nanta - explosive rhythm, spectacular performance! Now showing in Bangkok

NANTA is a comic musical non-verbal performance derived from the traditional Asian instrumental performance “Samulnori.” The kitchen is its backdrop, chefs its main characters. Knives and other kitchen utensils are transformed into musical instruments in the hands of the performers. They thrill the audience with acrobatic cooking shows, a surprise wedding ceremony, and an exciting dumpling challenge. The highlight of the show is a “Water Drum Sequence” where drummers beat 5 standing kitchenware drums with water and LED lights on it and this climax makes the audience confused whether it’s drum or their heart beating.

Asiatique The Riverfront, a buffet of recreational choices

With a festival-market-meet-living-museum concept. Asiatique The Riverfront is a colonial-style bazaar comprising 1500 shops, 40 restaurants and two cultural theatres in an open-air environment. Asiatique The Riverfront aims to recreate the spirit of the past, when people commuted regularly by boats and streetcars, fused with modern day recreation options. Visitors can indulge in the variety of shops and eateries and also visit ancient tram tracks, a historic pier, century-old warehouses and waterfront cranes. In the town square district, visitors will find the new 400-seat calypso cabaret theatre as well as the award winning Joe Louis Puppet Theatre. Asiatique The Riverfront is located on the oldest road in Bangkok, Charoeng Krung Road, and is open every day from 17.00 to 24.00. The easiest, and probably the most entertaining way to get there is by boat. A free shuttle boat picks up visitors from Sathorn Pier underneath Taksin BTS station every 10-15 minutes.

Museum of Floral Culture

The Museum of Floral Culture is the creation of award winning floral artist Sakul Intakul who converted a colonial style building into a museum for floral art and designs that reflect Asian and Thai cultures. The museum is housed in an old massive two-storey building made of golden teak. It was built in 1920 and was the home of an officer in the Royal Guard in the reign of King Rama VI. The building is located in Bangkok's Dusit district, an area with royal palaces and military camps then and now.
'
After a guided tour of the house, enjoy afternoon tea with local sweets on the terrace of the museum's Salon Du The' overlooking the garden. Workshops on traditional and contemporary Thai floral art are held every second Saturday from 09:00-12:00AM in the garden’s Sala (private lessons on other days can be arranged on request, the venue can also be booked for private functions, such as Wedding receptions, cocktail parties and dining events). We also can arrange a guided tour by Khun Sakul himself including a glass of champagne or wine. Khun Sakul is fluent in English, has a very outgoing and warm personality and enjoys talking to people from all walks of life. However, since he is traveling quite a bit, we can only confirm a privately guided tour by Khun Sakul on short notice (2-3 weeks in advance).

Tip: Combine your afternoon visit with pre-dinner cocktails at THE DECK BAR watching the sunset followed by dinner at the restaurant. The DECK is located opposite Wat Arun, which is beautifully illuminated during night time.
