M/Y Genesis 1 has been at the forefront of liveaboard diving expeditons in Thailands Andaman Sea for many years. She is an 83 foot steel mono-hulled yacht with 5 double cabins and 2 single cabins,each with independent air-conditioning and panoramic seaview window. The large party deck and spacious sundecks, entertainment centre, music and movie library ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment.
To maintain the highest level of comfort and service on your expedition, Genesis provides unlimited diving from a sea level platform, dinghy pick up, a watermaker for camera and equipment rinsing, hot showers, daily fresh towels, Thai and Western cuisine and a crew of eight to ensure all needs are satisfied. Your days are spent diving, dozing and dining. Your evenings slip away as you look at newly developed underwater slides, view the daily dive video or swap tall tales with other divers from around the world. Sun worshippers will enjoy relaxing on either of the two sundecks. The upper sundeck is the best place to view magestic tropical sunsets. The bridge window is perfect for taking in the pleasant ocean breeze. There is plenty of space for your dive equipment on the 16 sqm dive deck. The dive platform is located at water level, ensuring a comfortable entry into the water. The Genesis has a central compressor station beneath the deck, which has the advantage of near silent filling. Due to the capacity of the compressors, you won't need to change your tank as it will be refilled after every dive. The electrical recharge station will ensure that your torch is always ready for the next dive.
 
Technical details:  28 x 12 ltr tanks, 50 ltr Oxygen, 3 Bauer compressors (220 l/min x 3), 2 x 35 KVA generators & 1 x 25 KVA generator (220 V AC; 24/12 V DC), 2 x 360 PS V-10 engines, 6000 ltr freshwater tank, GPS Sat. Nav., 3D-sidefinder, Radar, satellite phone, mobile phone, CB-radio, Zodiac (Dinghi), TV, Video and Stereo.
Itinerary :
PHUKET / KHAO LAK - SIMILAN ISLAND # 9 (-/L/D)
DAY 1
Pick up at your hotel in Phuket or Khao Lak and transfer to Tab Lamu pier. Depart approx. 9:30 a.m. from Tab Lamu towards Similan.
THE SIMILAN ISLANDS are a stunning group of nine Islands, north west of Phuket, famous for being one of the top dive destinations in the world and certainly the best in Asia. The diving here is simply amazing. You'll immerse yourself in thriving reefs, lush corals, impressive sea fans and an incredible variety of marine life including large pelagics such as manta rays and whale sharks. The Similans are characterized by gigantic boulders above and below the water line, creating awesome underwater scenery and exciting swim throughs for divers to explore. The water is crystal clear and the visibility fantastic. The Similans also boast exquisite sandy beaches and shallow coral reefs in the bays. A perfect place for snorkeling. Two dives at island #9 and one night dive.

SIMILAN ISLANDS (B/L/D)
DAY 2
One dive at Elephant Head, one dive at island #7, one dive at island #5 and one night dive.  Elephant Rock from the surface looks like an elephant head. Below the surface there are many impressive tunnels and swim throughs. You can find small white tip reef sharks in a rock crevice at the beginning of the dive and many colorful fish.

SIMILAN ISLANDS - KHAO LAK / PHUKET (B/L/-)
DAY 3
Boulder City is another favorite site in the Similans. Due to its exposed location it is possible to see almost anything here including whale-sharks and manta rays. It is invariably an exceptional dive. Leopard sharks, Spanish dancers and great barracudas have been seen here against a back drop of huge granite boulders. Shark Fin Reef has beautiful coral and sponge gardens. It is an excellent site to see reef sharks and huge Napoleon wrasse. One dive at Boulder City, two dives at Shark Fin Reef, arrive Tab Lamu at 6:00 p.m and transfer to your hotel in Khao Lak or Phuket.

Our package tour prices are inclusive of transfers from / to hotel in Phuket or Khao Lak, overnight including full-board meals in shared twin cabins, dives as described above, applicable government taxes and VAT.
Not included are National Park Admission fees and dive permits - currently THB 1.000 - to be paid direct to National Park Officials on spot, dive equipment rental (regulator, dive computer, wet suit, BCD, UW-torch, mask, fins), beverages, personal expenses.
Note: Trips depart with a minimum of 5 passengers booked per departure. In the event, that there are less than 5 passengers booked, the dive operator will offer to transfer clients to another dive operator’s boat.
