03 DAYS LANJIA LODGE ADVENTURE TREKKING TARIFF YEAR: 2012
Seat-in-coach tour (CEILLLJT): Daily departures from Chiang Rai and hotels in the Golden Triangle (minimum 2 persons).
 
Lanjia Lodge Lanjia, meaning 'peaceful' in the Hmong language, is an eco-friendly, community-based lodge nestled on a hill overlooking the Mekong River and Laos. It is set in harmony with a lush green environment inside a Hmong and Lahu village in northern Thailand’s Chiang Rai province. The hosts at Lanjia Lodge are the proud and hospitable Hmong and Lahu villagers who will take care of all visitors and activities ar Lanjia Lodge. Contributions from your stay will be used on community projects that improve the local hilltribe people’s living conditions.
 
The Lanjia Lodge features: 4 houses with 4 rooms: a total of 16 rooms. Shared common area in each house for meals and hilltribe performances. Private bathrooms for all guests. Local market, steam bath and traditional massage
Access:  From Chiang Rai - via Mae Chan/Chiang Saen - 90 minutes by van transfer  From Golden Triangle - via Chiang Saen - 45 minutes by car or 90 minutes transfer by River boat  From Chiang Khong - 25 minutes by car
Itinerary :
CHIANG RAI/GOLDEN TRIANGLE – LANJIA LODGE (-/-/D)
DAY 1
Early afternoon, van transfer from your hotel in Chiang Rai or the Golden Triangle to Lanjia Lodge. Upon arrival, you will be served herbal juice. After a brief rest, we will start trekking along a nature trail (3 - 4 hours) through evergreen mountains. En route you will visit a waterfall and a Hmong village. Then return to the lodge by biking along the country road (escorted by a local truck in case someone cannot ride a bicycle). Dinner and watch traditional Hmong performances. Overnight at Lanjia Lodge.

FULL DAY TREKKING (B/L/D)
DAY 2
After breakfast, start a full day trek on the trail crossing forested mountains. Learn with your experienced local guide about jungle food. Picnic lunch in the forest. Continue trekking mainly downhill until we reach a Thai village by the Kong River.  Then short transfer by local truck back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lanjia Lodge.

LANJIA LODGE – CHIANG RAI/GOLDEN TRIANGLE (B/-/-)
DAY 3
After breakfast, watch a presentation about the Hmong and Lahu tribes, the Golden triangle area and the giant cat fish (locally known as Pla Buek) – the world’s biggest fresh water fish found in the Mekong River. Learn about activities that affect the Mekong River and people whose lives depend on the river. Late morning, transfer to Chiang Rai airport or hotel in town or in the Golden Triangle.

Our package prices are inclusive of roundtrip van transfers between Chiang Rai or hotel in the Golden Triangle without guide assistance; assistance of English-speaking Lanjia guide during all activities around the lodge, accommodation with a view of Laos and the Mekong River in non air-conditioned room with electric fan based on twin bedded room and private bathroom, Power Point Presentation about Hmong & Lahu Tribe, Golden Triangle, Pla Buek (Giant Catfish) in the Mekhong River, Activities: Treks on the nature trails, a visit at a waterfall and hill tribe and Thai villages, biking or local truck for a return trip to the lodge, Traditional Hmomg and Lahu Performance, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), applicable services charges and VAT.
Not included are meals other than mentioned above, drinks, personal expenses such as laundry, phone calls, gratuities.
Notes: Guests should be healthy and in good physical condition. Weather conditions may impose changes in the program or the cancellation of activities.
