CONFIRMATIONS

All reservation requests are normally confirmed by returning fax or e-mail. In case immediate confirmation cannot be made, information of the booking status will be advised.

Sightseeing excursions are accompanied by local English speaking guides. German, French, Spanish or other language speaking guides are available on request in some locations. A language escort for the entire tour can be requested for a supplementary cost.  
Accommodation is in shared twin-bedded rooms, with a supplementary charge for single occupancy.
 

RATES

All rates are quoted net (incl. Service Tax) in Indian Rupees, U.S. Dollars or Euro at current rates of exchange. Taxes such as service tax, airport departure taxes, as well as rates of exchange are subject to change. Invoices can show service tax separately. The invoiced amount plus service tax will be equal to net rates quoted by us.

In case the government imposes or changes present taxes, our rates will need to be adjusted accordingly. The same applies in case fuel prices will increase.
 
 

COMPULSORY GALA DINNERS

Please be aware that most hotels organize special gala dinners which are compulsory for all  guests on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and sometimes also on Divali, Holi as well as during other festive occasions. These dinners must be paid for - they are a compulsory charge, regardless of whether the client wants the dinner or not. Any clients staying at the hotel during these specific days will automatically be charged, no refund will be given. If the hotel announces its rates for the compulsory dinners at a later time, the clients have to pay for the compulsory dinner(s) directly to the hotel on the spot. Prices for compulsory gala dinners are listed in separate columns. Our rates for compulsory gala dinners are net and no further discounts apply.
 

PROGRAMME CHANGES

All Diethelm Travel tour itineraries are pre-arranged and, in the case of the standard group tour plan, no programme changes or modifications can be made. Diethelm Travel reserves the right to re-arrange the order of any tour itinerary, to cancel or substitute elements of any tour plan, without notice, when local conditions require such changes.
 

POLICY ON CHILDREN

Children between 2 and below 12 years of age are granted a 15% discount on transfers, excursions and package tours provided on condition, that they share the room with the adults. A maximum of two children per party are granted such discounts. Children requiring their own rooms are charged as adults, but will be granted a 25% discount on applicable airfares on receipt of passport copies.

DEPOSIT

In general, in order to confirm your chosen holiday, a deposit of 25% of the total (or full payment if your booking is received within 2 months of departure) must be paid at the time of confirmation.

Diethelm Travel will only make deposits to suppliers once received from your end.

Peak Season: Most hotels during the peak season ask for full prepayment at the time of booking. Once your rooms are confirmed, you will be advised to send the payment accordingly. Special instructions of when to pay will be given to you at the time of confirmation.

Full prepayment must be received at least 2 months before commencement of services, with all bank transfer charges / fees to be paid by client.

CANCELLATIONS

FIT travellers - Cancellation charges are calculated from the day the written notification is received by the company or agent as a percentage of the net total tour price, as shown plus any surcharges (eg. Ticketed air sectors, other penalties imposed by suppliers such as hotels):

65 - 45 days prior to arrival            =  30% of tour price
45 - 30 days prior to arrival            =  50% of tour price
29 - 15 days prior to arrival            =  60% of tour price
14 – 8 days prior to arrival            =  80% of tour price
7 – 0 days prior to arrival              = 100% of tour price

Refunds will not be given for unused or cancelled services after the tour arrangements have commenced.
Cancellation of tours due to minimum number of participants will be advised 6 weeks before departure of the tour; in which case we will offer an alternative tour of a similar standard or a full refund.

LIABILITY

Certain parts of the tours offered are provided by the concerned airlines, hotels, transport operators and local tourist offices operating independently. Diethelm Travel is, therefore, not responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused thereby to the tourists including those occurring outside of the normal touring programmes. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists. Programmes, prices, services, and conditions are based on those valid at the time of printing hereof and are consequently subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour. Participation in the tour implies the tourists' acceptance of the above conditions

IMPORTANT

NOTE:        Please note that the Taj Mahal in Agra is closed every Friday. 
NOTE:        Most Museums are closed on Mondays and partly on Fridays and some public holidays.

NOTE:        We further would like to advise that, because of frequent flight changes, delays and cancellations by the various domestic airlines we cannot fully guarantee that the proposed itinerary can be carried out as planned. Based on our experience, changes of departure times and/or cancellations can occur at very short notice even after confirmations for a flight have been received. The same applies for train travel: schedule changes occur frequently; often without prior notification.

NOTE:        In case of schedule changes or flight cancellation we always try everything human possible to arrange an alternate programme within the framework of the original quoted costs. However we reserve the right to charge any cost exceeding the original budget to the tour operator/travel agent or to the participant of a tour after consultation with the agent.
