Cambodia Cooking by Sala Bai

Cambodian Cooking is one of the few books focusing on Khmer cuisine. Influenced over the years by a wide variety of cooking styles, the food of Cambodia presents a particularly broad range of flavors to surprise the palate and stimulate the taste buds.

This book includes 60 Khmer recipes and an ingredients section with the Cambodian names as well as the Vietnamese or Thai names of the ingredients whenever necessary for ease of shopping.

But the book is not only recipes, it's a solidarity project, created to increase the self-funding part of Sala Baï project. This school provides free vocational training to 100 young disadvantaged Cambodians every year.

Joannès Rivière, the author, is a talented French chef who became a specialist of Cambodian cuisine. He volunteered at Sala Baï from 2003 to 2005
