For all Cultural Tours, the booking must be completed 4 weeks in advance, for tours during festivals, 12 weeks advance information is required. Festivals held in spring and autumn are the peak season, therefore early flight reservations and hotel bookings are strongly advised!
For trekking tours, bookings need to be made at least 8 weeks in advance, as these programs require plenty of planning and preparation time.
| | | HANDLING OF FLIGHT RESERVATIONS | | Diethelm Travel will coordinate the requests for flight reservations and issuance of international and domestic air tickets through Dits Travel (2001) Ltd. Dits Travel (2001) Ltd. will invoice directly for such services.
Diethelm Travel will forward you the invoice of Dits Travel (2001)Ltd. together with our own invoice for other services. Charges of both companies will be shown on a separate summary of charges, so that you may make one payment for both companies to Diethelm Travel's bank account. We shall then forward payment for air tickets to Dits Travel (2001)Ltd. accordingly. | | | CONFIRMATIONS | |
All reservation requests are normally confirmed by returning fax or e-mail. In case immediate confirmation cannot be made, information of the booking status will be advised. | | | RATES | |
All rates are quoted net (incl. 7% VAT - Value-Added Tax) to Travel Agents in Thai Baht, U.S. Dollars or Euro at current rates of exchange. Rates are valid as per the indicated duration. Taxes such as VAT, airport departure taxes, as well as rates of exchange are subject to change. Invoices will show VAT separately. The invoiced amount plus VAT will be equal to net rates quoted by us. | | | Compulsory Gala Dinners on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Chinese & Thai New Year | | Please be aware that most hotels organise special gala dinners which are compulsory for all guests on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and sometimes also on Chinese and Thai New Year as well as during other festive occasions. These dinners must be paid for - they are a compulsory charge, regardless of whether the client wants the dinner or not. Any clients staying at the hotel during these specific days will automatically be charged, no refund will be given. If the hotel announces its rates for the compulsory dinners at a later time, the clients have to pay for the compulsory dinner(s) directly to the hotel on the spot. Prices for compulsory gala dinners are listed in separate columns. Our rates for compulsory gala dinners are net and no further discounts apply. | | | POLICY ON CHILDREN - REVISED! | | A child aged 2-11 years accompanied by 2 full-paying passengers is entitled to a discounted rate for certain transfers, excursions and package tours. On private transfers, 1 child for every 2 full-paying passengers receives a 30% discount from the rate applicable for the total number of adults booked. No discounts are granted on seat-in-coach transfers.
For most day-excursions, we grant either a special child rate or a percentage discount on the adult rate. Discounted rates or discounts are applicable for 1 child accompanied by 2 full-paying passengers (in other words, for every 2 full-paying participants 1 child is entitled to the special child rate or discount). Child rates or discounts, if applicable, are shown in a separate column for each tour in our excursion price list.
For most package tours, we grant either a special child rate or a percentage discount on the adult rate, provided that the child shares the room with 2 full-paying participants. On tours operated by Diethelm Travel, an extra bed or matress will be provided for maximum 1 child per room. On tours operated by other suppliers or on cruises, the child rate or discount only applies if a child shares existing bedding with adults. Child rates or discounts, if applicable, are shown in a separate column for each tour in our excursion price list. | | | PAYMENT | | Full prepayment by bank transfer is required three weeks before commencement of services, with all bank transfer charges / fees to be paid by client.

Cancellation & No Show Charges Policy of Regular Package Tours (Thailand) :
Between 30 days and 15 days prior to departure: 10 % of package price
Between 14 days and 08 days prior to departure: 50 % of package price
Between 07 days and 02 days prior to departure: 70 % of package price
1 day prior to departure or no show: 100 % of package price
Cancellation of tours due to minimum number of participants will be advised 4 weeks before departure of the tour. | | | LIABILITY | | Certain parts of the tours offered are provided by the concerned airlines, hotels, transport operators and local tourist offices operating independently. Diethelm Travel is, therefore, not responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused thereby to the tourists including those occurring outside of the normal touring programs. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists. Programs, prices, services, and conditions are based on those valid at the time of printing hereof and are consequently subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour. Participation in the tour implies the tourists' acceptance of the above conditions. | | |
