Stopovers cater for shorter stays in Vietnam’s prime destinations, Soft Adventure and Active Holidays Tours include soft-trekking, hiking, kayaking, cycling, sea-canoeing, to name a few. Modules are shorter packages which are easy to combine in order to tailor-make your own itinerary. Cycling Tours have been added for guests who enjoy exploring the country on two wheels. Golf Tours include shorter stays in Vietnam’s prime golf destinations as well as golfing tours for those interested in getting to know the variety of golf courses throughout Vietnam. As the name suggests, Special Interest Tours cater for travellers who visit Vietnam with the main purpose of pursuing their hobby or interests, such as bird watching, history (Vietnam War), caving or culinary. Train Tours are designed for guests who like to travel the country by train. We have revised our itineraries and now feature a 12-day and 15-day train tour throughout Vietnam.

Our Signature Tours are brand new luxury itineraries as well as an 11 day off-the-beaten track programme highlighting the jewels of the North-East and North-West, showcasing the amazing landscapes of Ha Giang Province close to the Chinese border. This area was enlisted as UNESCO Geopark and is still yet undiscovered by “mass tourism”. It’s an area of stunning beauty with terraced fields, especially beautiful during harvest time in late September-mid October and in May, when the farmer prepare the land for the new crop, and home to many ethnic minorities. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi closed for Maintenance

The annual closure of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi is scheduled for 05 September 2011 to 04 November 2011 It will re-open again from 05 November 2011 onwards.

Dalat Flower Festival

The biennial flower festival, the forth of its kind themed “Dalat, The Flower Festival City”, will be held in Dalat from 30December 2011 to 03 January 2012. The main festival is planned to be staged at Dalat main square with the Opening Ceremony on 31December 2011 and the Closing Ceremony on 03January 2012. There will be diversified activities, including an international flower exhibition, a flower procession, a flower market, food with flowers as ingredients, the honoring of florists and flower production technology, street festivals as well as other tourism and sport-related events.

New high speed link between Ha Tien and Phu Quoc Island

08 August 2011, a new high speed boat named Superdong was launched operations in order to facilitate travelling between Ha Tien, the provincial capital city of Kien Giang Province, and Phu Quoc Island, a popular tourist destination.

The imported Malaysian made Superdong high speed boat meets all international marine time transportation standards. It has a capacity of 170 passengers. Departure from Ha Tien is at 13:15 hrs. and from Phu Quoc Island at 08:00 hrs. Travelling time is about 01 hour and 10 minutes.

By launching the Superdong, Kien Giang Province now has a total of 4 boats providing daily transportation services to Phu Quoc Island.

Sailing Club Mui Ne becomes Mia Resort Mui Ne

With the addition of a new resort in Cam Ranh Bay, Mia resort Nha Trang, the Sailing Club Group officially announced the name change all resorts to “Mia”. In Vietnamese, “Mia” means “sugarcane” and depicts the essence of luscious, green countryside, and well describes the group’s natural philosophy and attitude to the environment. The US Magazine National Geographic has ranked Vietnam in the list of 13 "Best Tours in Asia", highlighting "discovery into culture", sceneries of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, hiking in the Hoang Lien National Park, visiting ethnic minority villages in the northern remote areas, discovering Halong Bay and enjoying a royal feast in Hue. Another high appreciation was given to Sapa by the popular travel guide Lonely Planet which has ranked the resort town in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai as one of the world top ten spots for walking.

Ho Dynasty Citadel, the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam

The Ho Dynasty Citadel, a true marvel of Vietnamese architecture, has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site, enriching the nation’s list of tangible and intangible world heritages.

The citadel is located in Thanh Hoa Province, about 165 km south of Hanoi. It was built by Ho Quy Ly, the prime minister of the late Tran Dynasty and served as royal citadel of the Ho dynasty after Ho Quy Ly ceased the throne and moved the capital city to Thanh Hoa Province. The four gates of the citadel remained almost intact. Huge stone cubes were laid perfectly without any mortar, making the citadel a true marvel of Vietnamese architecture. Though the Ho Dynasty’s reign did not last long, only from 1397 to 1407, it left significant imprints in the nation’s history by introducing monetary reform and important inventions in military arms techniques. Archeological works, underway in and around the area, have surfaced sites of cultural and religious significance as well as the method and tools used to build the citadel.

Thanh Hoa Province has been known as a sacred ancestral land of many legendary dynasties and emperors throughout Vietnamese history (Ba Trieu, Le Dynasty, Trinh Dynasty and Nguyen Dynasty). The province aims to preserve and link the historical sites in order to attract more tourists.
