The World's Biggest Teddy Bear Museum to Open in Chengdu

Teddy Bear Museum, the largest teddy bear museum  opened at the International Sports City in Wenjiang district of Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan province, Nov 11, 2012

The Museum, located in the International Sports City in Wenjiang district of Chengdu, displays a collection of more than 1000 Teddy Bears of the stuffed bears on more than 10,000 square meters, the Teddy Bear Museum offers visitors a glimpse at a handful of rare and antique teddy bears, including a Titanic memorial bear, one of only 600 produced.

But more of the galleries showcase posed scenes, in which teddy bears stand in for humans.

Started in 1979, the Gangaramaya Navam Perahera has since developed into one of Sri Lanka's finest. Held at night on Navam Poya at the Gangaramaya Vihara in the heart of Colombo, it’s a popular tourist attraction that can be viewed from stands located along the roadside of the procession’s route. The fascinating preparations, particularly the arrival of over 100 tame elephants at Viharamahadevi Park during the daytime, can also be observed.
